The galaxy lies in turmoil. Civil war burns between the cartels, and whole worlds groan beneath the boot of tyrants who name themselves lords.

Every trader begins again with nothing but a garbage scow and ambition. The tournament begins Monday, August 24th at midnight.

The first player or cartel to control 10 planets breaks their grip on the stars and takes the tournament — and the galaxy begins anew.

How to Connect

Tournament Rules

• 10 planets wins it. The first player or cartel to control 10 planets is declared the tournament winner and the galaxy is reset. The limit is deliberately low — past 13 to 15 planets it stops being possible for anyone to catch up.
• ONE account only. The BBS will notify the sysop of users with the same IP address. Playing with more than one account is fine for other games, but NOT the tournament.
• Cartels are wide open. No rosters are declared in advance. Form them, join them and break them as you see fit during play — backstabbing is entirely legal.
• No cheating. Playing the game hard is expected. Exploiting the game in a way it was not designed in order to advance your position is not allowed.
• Bank limit is 20 million. The current game settings carry over from the last run.
• We have been fortunate to have a friendly and positive atmosphere on the BBS. Please be kind to other players.

Prize Rules

• The winner chooses one prize from the selection below, and receives an original artwork Planets: TEOS postcard along with it.
• We will make our best effort to ship the prizes to the winner's location. United States and Canada shipping only as international shipping and duties often far exceed the prize value. For international winners, we can (and have) work out a different virtual prize.
• Tournament winners can collect prizes one time. So, if the same player wins again, the prizes would go to the closest runner up that has not collected prizes.
