Legend of the Red Dragon II

Legend of the Red Dragon II can be downloaded from Metropolis Gameport.

Extract the LORD2 zip file to a new directory (ie, c:\lord2). Then, run L2CFG.EXE to configure the node settings (option S from L2CFG's main menu).

If you already have the original LORD installed, you can select option (C) to copy your existing config setup from LORD 1.

Otherwise, configure node 1 as follows:

  (1) Node Number      : 1
  (2) BBS Name         : Your BBS  <-- example only! 
  (3) BBS Software     : DOORSYS
  (4) Path To Drop File: c:\sbbs\node1
  (5) Fossil/Internal  : Using Regular Fossil Driver
  (6) Locked Port Speed: Port Not Locked
  (7) Comport          : Read From Drop File
  (8) Send Open Comports Command?  : Yes!
  (9) Send Reset Comports Command? : Yes!
  (A) Use Special ANSI Settings?   : No!
  (B) Use direct screen writes?    : Yes!
  (C) Copy setup from another RT game.  (TEOS & RTREADER)
  (D) Use secondary ASYNC commands?: No!
  ([) Go back a node
  (]) Go forward a node
  (Q) Quit To Main

You must manually configure the rest of the nodes; hit the ] button to move to the next node. Be sure to specify the correct Path to Drop File for each node (ie, c:\sbbs\node2 for node 2, c:\sbbs\node3 for node 3, etc).

Now, you must add LORD II to your board's games menu. In SCFG, go to External Programs -> Online Programs -> Games -> Available Online Programs and hit the insert key. Configure it as follows:

Be sure to set the "start-up directory" to whatever directory you put your Legend of the Red Dragon II files in.

After these steps have been completed, be sure to refresh the board's node data so that the config changes take effect immediately.

LORD2 is sold by Metropolis Gameport -- click the link for "Door Games" in the navigation frame. A LORD2 registration costs $15.

LORD2 Add-ons
LORD2 add-ons simply expand the size of the game world by adding new areas. There are many add-ons available for LORD2. The most useful is the LORD2: Complete New World, which is a compilation of over 135 LORD2 add-ons. Please note that you will need a registered copy of LORD2 to make use of most of these add-ons.
